Scientific work:

studies (books and articles) on contemporary world history, history of diplomacy and international relations, political thought in 19-20^th centuries, foreign policy of European states (Great Britain, Austria, Poland, the USSR), problems of national minorities, history of the Roman-Catholic Church

• 1992 – scholarship at the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands) – 7 weeks;
• October 1996–February 1997 – TEMPUS scholarship at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, London (4 months of research in London: The British Library, The National Archives, The Parliamentary Archives and the SEES Library; Cambridge: Churchill Archives Centre; Edinburgh: The Scottish Record Office)
• 1997-1998 – Scholarship of the Committee of Scientific Research (Ministerial) and research in London institutions (1 month) as well as in Vienna (Haus-, Hof- und Staatsarchive and Archiv der Republik – 3 weeks)
• September 2001 – scholarship of Witold Giller (research in London: The British Library, The National Archives)
• Scholarships of De Brzezie Lanckoronski Foundation (2006 and 2013) – two monthly visits in London and research in The National Archives and the British Library
• 2016-1017 – Grant of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW: Narodowy Program Rozwoju Humanistyki)
• October–December 2022 – Visiting Professor at the University of West Bohemia, Plsen, Czech Republic (research in the libraries in Plsen as well as regular visits in Prague, Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
• Many visit to the Archives of Modern Records (Archiwum Akt Nowych) in Warsaw
• Shorter research abroad: Prague, Kiev, Bonn, Cambridge, Giessen, Madrid, Messina, New York

Organizational work:

In the frameworks of duties of a Director of the Institute of History takes care for organizational and representative matters as well as didactic process to achieve the highest standards of education.

courses on World history 1918-1945 (lectures and conversations), B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. seminars, proseminars, monografic and facultative lectures, discussion courses in English for foreign and Polish students (History of European political thought in 19th and 20th centuries; History of Jews in Poland in 19th and 20th centuries; Soviect foreign policy in interwar period), history of Germany, European integration, European Union, Regional Policy of the EU, diplomatic and consular law, diplomatic correspondence (documents), decision-making processes in foreign policy, war in ideologies and political doctrines.
