PROFIL PRACOWNIKA: Mariusz Sokołowicz

Born in Lodz. Professor of the University of Lodz and an urban activist. Urbanist-economist, researching economies of cities and regions and ways to improve their efficiency. Member of Regional Studies Association, European Regional Science Association, Society of Polish Urban Planners, Ukrainian Academy of Economic Sciences. Author and editor of over 80 publications on urban economics. For several years I worked as a real estate manager and consultant. I was a social co-author of the Development Strategy of Piotrkowska Street for 2009-2020, and in 2009-2013 as a local government official, he was responsible for its revitalisation. I raise my competencies and experience during internships in France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. In his free time, he reads a lot and writes a bit. His passion is travelling, especially motorcycling.
