Horizontal Contact Point for Central Poland is one of six Horizontal Contact Points coordinated and funded by the National Contact Point for EU FP Horizon Europe operating as part of the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR). These entities were selected in December 2021 in a competition conducted by the NCBR, with the assumption to operate until the end of the current framework programme, i.e. 2027 inclusive. University of Lodz is a coordinator of the Horizontal Contact Point for Central Poland.
Horizontal Contact Point for Central Poland is a team of specialists supporting and increasing the participation of Polish scientific units, research institutions, enterprises and other entities in Horizon Europe programme in the area of its cross-cutting and administrative aspects. Horizontal Contact Point for Central Poland operates on the premises of the following regions:

region of Lodz (with an office at the University of Lodz)

Masovian region (excluding the capital city of Warsaw; with offices in Warsaw at the Warsaw University of Technology as well as at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences).
All specialists working at the Horizontal Contact Point for Central Poland have many years of experience in training, consulting and providing information about the European Union Framework Programmes.

- Information and consulting activities.
- Organisation of training and workshops.
- Consultations for entities preparing project applications.
- Consultations for entities implementing projects.
- Giving opinions on selected documents regarding the Horizon Europe programme.
