POSITION DESCRIPTION
BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
I completed my master's degree in English Philology in 1997 and have been working in higher education as a lecturer since then. I began my career with students at a private university, where I instructed English philology majors and held various managerial roles. During that time, I also contemplated a scholarly career in linguistics. I authored several articles and actively participated in academic conferences, but after a few years, I abandoned those aspirations. Subsequent positions included employment at the Medical University and the Lodz University of Technology. Simultaneously, I developed my career as a translator. For many years, I held the position of translator at one of the Lodz-based firms specializing in air management technology. In this role, my responsibilities encompassed the translation of all technical and business documentation. Additionally, I provided translation and proofreading services within the academic community.
My research interests revolve around cognitive linguistics, teaching ESP to professionals in various sectors and industries, as well as humanities. Among my many extracurricular passions are: music, literature, active leisure activities, and most notably, building and riding motorcycles.
