He completed Economics and Organisation of Foreign Trade the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Lodz and postgraduate studies in insurance at the Warsaw School of Economics.
He has been involved with the insurance industry for many years. From 1993 to 1998 he was employed at Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń na Życie Spółka Akcyjna ("PZU Życie S.A."). From September 1997, he served as a member of the Management Board of PZU Życie S.A. From 1998 to 2001, he was employed by Sopockie Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie Ergo Hestia S.A. From April 2000 to August 2001, he also served as a member of the Management Board. From 2002 to 2004, Dariusz Krzewina was employed at SAMPO Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie S.A. From October 2002 to June 2004, he held the position of a President of the Management Board – Sales Director. From August 2004, he was again associated with the PZU Group, where he successively held the positions of Director of the Group Insurance of PZU Życie S.A.; from January 2006, Director of the Corporate Client Coordinator; then, from March 2007, Vice President of the Management Board of PZU Życie S.A.; from August 2007 to June 2016, President of the Management Board of PZU Życie S.A. As President of the Management Board, he supervised the activities of the following departments: Corporate Client, HR, Health Insurance, Administration and Logistics, Group Network, and certain organisational units at the Head Office of PZU Życie S.A. operating outside the departments and the Directors of the regional branches. In addition, he acted as a Group Director of PZU supervising the activities of the HR and Group Network Departments at PZU S.A. and the activities of the Regional Branches Directors.
Since 2018, he has been running his own business, DSK Business Solutions Dariusz Krzewina.
