Wanda Buk

Vice President of PGE S.A.

As of 2022, Ms. Wanda Buk has served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at PGE. She holds a law degree and is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz, as well as the French Business Law Department at the Université de Poitiers in France. In addition to her legal education, she is a graduate of International Military Relations at the Academy of Military Arts, the European Academy of Diplomacy, postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, and the Leadership Academy for Poland program organized by the Center for Leadership in cooperation with Harvard University. She began her doctoral studies at the Academy of Military Arts.

As of July 2018, Ms. Wanda Buk served as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Digitization. She supervised the following Departments: Telecommunications, Legal Affairs, International Policy and the Minister's Office (with respect to matters arising from the relationship of subordination to the Minister of the Centre for Digital Poland Projects). She held memberships in various significant committees, including the Committee on European Union Affairs, the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Joint Commission of Government and Self-Government.

Since January 2016, she was the director of the Center for Digital Poland Projects. She managed the institution responsible for implementing European funds for the country's digitization. She was responsible for the implementation of EU-funded projects totaling PLN 10 billion, encompassing a wide range of initiatives, such as the establishment of IT and telecommunications infrastructure for high-speed Internet access, the advancement of electronic services with enhanced availability and quality, digitization in public administration and culture, fostering digital competencies nationwide with a special focus on coding, and promoting fundamental IT knowledge among diverse social groups.

In her career at law firms, she successfully managed infrastructure projects, including those funded by public sources, and provided expert advice to regulated market entities. She has served on the Supervisory Boards of: Nask 4 Innovation sp. z o.o., NUW sp. z o.o. and Mana Solid Invest sp. z o.o. Ms. Wanda Buk is fluent in English and French.
