SETTING UP A BANK ACCOUNT
Establishing a Polish bank account, will allow you to avoid unfavorable currency conversion when receiving your salary, shopping in Poland, and will make it easier to obtain a trusted profile (which will be an advantage when filing PIT)
As you can see, no bank requires a pesel number, but in any case a visit to the branch is required, it is best to contact the bank's hotline directly (every offer a conversation in English, but you have to wait on line until the voiceover reads the option for English) ask what documents are required in addition to, for example, a passport, and make an appointment for such a visit to the branch, so as not to wait unnecessarily in queues.
When you get a PESEL number you must immediately notify your bank to update your data.
