The determinant that describes this situation best is carbon dioxide and its presence in the Earth's atmosphere. It is just enough to look at the graphs to see how serious this problem is and how much depends on us to get out of this situation. I would like to thank you for inviting the scientists of the University of Lodz to cooperate in this ecological project. I would like to remind you that the University's mission is to pass on reliable knowledge and to educate the youngest generation, because it is the youngest generation that will decide for the good of the planet in several years' time.
– said Dr hab. Tomasz Jurczak, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection at the opening of the exhibition.
The interactive exhibition "Klimat na zakręcie" is to help find the heart of the global warming problem. At the same time, it leaves visitors with a sense of empowerment. It lets them know that a lot depends on their decisions and choices: on a micro as well as a macro scale. It is not about shifting the responsibility for the fate of the entire Earth to individuals. It’s rather about realising how much we can still achieve together. Cooperation and communication are the foundations of humanity's evolutionary success. The exhibition is another piece of the jigsaw puzzle, whose full picture is global climate change..
