PhD students of the BioMedChem Doctoral School of the University of Lodz and the Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Łódź receive the following amount of scholarship:
- gross amount of PLN 3010 per month during the first and second year of studies,
- gross amount of PLN 4109.70 per month during the third and fourth year of studies

As a candidate, you are required to inform the Secretary of the Doctoral School:
- that you have already been a doctoral student at another doctoral school (even for a short period of time) and have received a doctoral scholarship there. You are entitled to the scholarship for a total of 48 months of curriculum carried out at any doctoral school(s). After 48 months, even if you continue to study at our school, you will not be entitled to a doctoral scholarship any longer;
- if you obtain a doctoral degree at another university. Then you lose the right to your doctoral scholarship at the UL, because a person with an already conferred doctoral degree cannot receive the scholarship.

Please be advised that you are required to inform the Secretary of the Doctoral School if:

1. you are employed on a contract of employment of more than 0.5 FTE as an academic or researcher. If you will be after the mid-term evaluation, then your stipend will be reduced by 40% from the amount of 4109.70 PLN gross and will amount to 2465.82 PLN gross;
2. you are employed in a research project e.g. NCN, MSCA etc. on a contract of employment as an academic teacher or researcher and your salary will exceed PLN 4001.55 gross per month (before mid-term evaluation) or PLN 6164.55 gross (after mid-term evaluation), then you will lose the right to a doctoral scholarship at the University of Lodz for the duration of your employment in the project;
3. you are employed on a free-for-task contract (umowa zlecenie) regardless of your position held and working time included. We are then to report the change of your insurance basis to the social security (ZUS). You may work full-time and be employed under a contract of employment, but in a position other than that of an academic teacher or researcher (e.g. scientific and technical employee, specialist), and in such case you will not lose your right to the scholarship.
