Odznaczenia i Medale Mikołaja Kopernika dla badaczy z EkSocu

On 28 March 2023, during the Analytical and Research Programme, Warsaw Institute of Banking (PAB WIB) conference entitled "Sektor bankowy w warunkach spowolnienia gospodarczego i jego rola w odbudowie gospodarki" [The banking sector in the conditions of economic slowdown and its role in rebuilding the economy], the ceremony of awarding honorary decorations of the Polish Bank Association – Honorary Decorations and Medals of Nicolaus Copernicus – was held. Among the awardees there are managers and members of research teams responsible for developing research reports as part of the Analytical and Research Programme of the Warsaw Institute of Banking.

The Management Board of the Polish Bank Association decided to award the Honorary Decoration to Dr Wojciech Zatoń and the Medals of Nicolaus Copernicus to dr hab. Iwona Dorota Czechowska, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, dr hab. Czesław Lipiński, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz and dr hab. Magdalena Załęczna, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz.

The awards are an expression of the highest recognition for personal, creative activities for the development of Polish banking. The distinguished persons provide high-quality analyses and research in the area of cybersecurity and new technologies, conditions for the banks functioning, the broadly understood environment of the banking sector, cooperative banking, problems with the functioning and financing of the real estate market and challenges facing the energy transformation in Poland. Thus, they contribute to increasing the level of security of banking services.
