„Koniec miasta? Opowieść o Arkadii” panel dyskusyjny wokół wystawy Artura Urbańskiego

On Saturday (25 Marc) at 4:00 p.m. we would like to invite you to the discussion "The end of the city? The Tale of Arkadia” around the exhibition of photographs by Artur Urbański. The event will take place at the university's Wozownia Gallery at the Biedermann’s Palace (Franciszkańska 1/5).

Artur Urbański's exhibition "Koniec miasta" [The End of the City] is a photographic essay about the inhabitants of Lodz searching for an idyll. The artist raises the problem of uncontrolled urban growth, i.e. suburbanisation.

  • How does photography affect our perception of space?
  • How can the negative effects of suburbanisation be prevented?
  • What is the importance of green spaces for city residents?
  • What are the current trends in urban development and can Lodz benefit from them?
