The new website has been created to standardise the issue of UL website safety, strengthen the visibility of the University in search engines, make its image more consistent and ensure that the relevant information on the website reaches specific target groups (thanks to the division of the Zones menu into: Candidate, Student, Doctoral Student, Graduate and Employee Zones). The new look, however, does not affect the existing website addresses of the faculties and units of the University of Lodz – they stay the same.
The following faculties have already moved to the Multiportal:

- University of Lodz Branch in Tomaszów Mazowiecki

- Faculty of Economics and Sociology
- Faculty of Management

University of Lodz Library has joined the group too!
They are available at their existing addresses. The list of all faculties and units of the University of Lodz, including addresses that are not changing, is available at this link.
The faculties that have not yet moved their content to the Multiportal have the so-called business card pages (e.g. wizytowkageo.uni.lodz.pl/en/). The business card pages have been created to indicate the presence of the faculties of the University of Lodz in the Multiportal. They will disappear once they are all moved to the new system.
Multiportal accessible to everyone
There was yet another important objective of the Multiportal introduction. The website was created to ensure that all visitors have equal access to its content. Thanks to the appropriate design and colour contrasts, it can be read by visually impaired people, as well as older people whose eyesight gets naturally impaired. The layout of the content, on the other hand, allows the use of reading software that the blind use. The changes that have been introduced make the Multiportal accessible to people with special needs and at the same time meets the legal requirements imposed on the University of Lodz by the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.
When can you expect further changes?
Multiportal is a project that adapts to the needs of its users and community of the University of Lodz. Changes and improvements are being made to it as it becomes operational. Just over a year after its launch, it differs from the way it was originally designed. Further adjustments are expected in the coming months to make the website easier to navigate. Their scale and nature will depend on the comments and suggestions for change sent by the Multiportal users to multiportal@uni.lodz.pl, as well as on the internal testing of the site, which is being carried out by the Multiportal team with the help of the site contractor.
