Gra „Atomówka” z UŁ uatrakcyjnia naukę chemii

On the initiative of the Technology Transfer Office of the University of Lodz a presentation of the game "Atomówka" took place at the Righteous Among the Nations State Secondary School of the University of Lodz. The students had the opportunity to try their hand at the game, which is an interactive form enriching chemistry lessons.

"Atomówka" combining elements of a card game with spatial elements in the form of shells of electrons and dice, stimulates team work and is an excellent tool for both students and chemistry teachers.

The game, which replaced the traditional chalk and blackboard, was enthusiastically received by young players, confirmed its attractiveness and fulfilled the goal, which was to better assimilate and revise the material in the first year of secondary school. The students shared their opinions and observations that will help to improve the product, which has a huge commercialisation potential.

The game was created at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Lodz on the initiative and among scientists working with Prof. Lukasz Półtorak. In the laboratories of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Lodz, new projects are being developed, which are aimed at transferring knowledge and innovation to the sphere of education and economic practice.
