As many as 136,834 users follow the main profiles of the University of Lodz on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and Instagram) on a daily basis. They are students, employees, graduates, prospective students, UniLodz supporters and the university partners. Thank you very much for your presence, activity and sharing our content.

We want to show the entire community of the University of Lodz on our channels – the passions, achievements, successes, activities and initiatives. We encourage you to contact us and cooperate in 2024! In the meantime, we present the review our activities in social media.

A few words about AI  

2023 has been a time of intense discussions on the use of artificial intelligence and an increase in the popularity of tools based on AI technology. Our scientists, including: Dr Dominika Kaczorowska-Spychalska, Head of the Centre for Intelligent Technologies at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz, spoke about modern technologies in materials created with UniLodz channels in mind.

The AI tools have been also used to create content that attracted attention, was based on current trends and was to raise interest in the topic and possibilities of artificial intelligence. An additional goal was to increase the attractiveness of the University of Lodz profiles by creating interesting, engaging content for the entire community.

Vertical video  

The past year has been a continuation of the growing popularity of mobile video in communication. The importance of images, and specifically short films, has increased in social media. This is a tool we used to create lifestyle and student content and to talk about and promote important and interesting projects created and conducted at the University of Lodz. One of them is the Science Hub of the University of Lodz.

Science promotion is another important segment of our activities, for which we have used the potential that social media and video content offer. We have launched a new YouTube channel dedicated to science and a series of activities under the common slogan "Science Inspires". As part of the project, you could find materials regarding fascinating and important information about the world on our social media channels. Scientists representing various fields and disciplines talked about the latest research, presented interesting discoveries and explained complex phenomena in a simple and understandable way. And all this in the attractive form of Reels, which were a pill of knowledge encouraging people to delve deeper into the topic.

Additionally, 2023 has been a time of increased content creation for students. We want the University of Lodz channels to be a friendly place for them, where they can find the necessary information related to their studies, the city, events, as well as get creative, cultural and scientific inspiration. And students themselves are best at talking to other students. That is why we have created a lot of interesting materials, both entertaining and substantive ones, in cooperation with the #UniLodz Ambassadors, who are the voice of our community on social media and not only.
