On Sunday, 3 September, the 12th edition of the Poland Business Run took place. A total of 36,445 runners from over 1,500 companies from all over Poland (over 4,000 more participants than a year ago) took place in the charity run. University of Lodz was represented by a total of ten 5-person relay teams (31 women and 19 men). This year, we also managed to gather a team consisting of the fastest running employees of our university. In the final competition, Charty UŁ [The University of Lodz Sighthounds] took 18th place out of 4293 teams from all over Poland, and 3rd place among mixed teams. Congratulations to all the participants!

Kilometres that translate into help

This year, over 9,000 contenders took part in an on-site run in Cracow, while the rest of the teams took part in a virtual competition.

The University of Lodz representatives joined the virtual formula. Our university was represented by a total of ten 5-person relay teams (31 women and 19 men). Each participant had to run 4 km on a route of their own choosing and the results had to be recorded, and sent via the application.

The money collected during the run will help a total of 100 people from all over Poland who struggle with physical disabilities or have undergone a mastectomy. In addition to the noble goal of helping others, participation in the competition was simply great fun and favoured the integration of employees with the university. Sports competition was also there.
